As costume and prop makers, our team dabble in many a trade to achieve a versatile skill collection. Here are the services we can offer for your production.

 

General model making covers a lot of bases. But here are a few specifics:
 

  • 2D & 3D concept design:

Getting those ideas from napkin scribbles to visual concepts.

  • 3D modelling

In-house or On-set 3D modelling not only for prototyping, but functional parts.

  • 3D Printing

We have 30 3D printers at our disposal. FDM and Resin machines with our biggest print area being 800 x 800 x 1000mm. 

  • Clay sculpting

Traditional sculpting still has a place in the model making world. That organic touch can make a real difference at times.

  • Mould making

From simple box moulds to more complex matrix moulds. Silicone, fibreglass, even 3D printed moulds. 

  • Material casting

Make use of our materials knowledge for casting in a range of plastics, rubbers and foams.

  • Sandblasting

As well as classic sandpaper, we also possess a large sandblasting cabinet with an internal area of 1180 x 860 x 850mm. Ideal for quickly and efficiently prepping surfaces for finishing. 

  • Specialist painting & finishing

Using a range of materials, we are able to offer hard and flexible paint finishes and effects.

  • Leather & fabric work

Our team have great experience creating soft kit from leather and other fabrics. 

  • 3-axis CNC machining & Laser Cutting

Our main CNC machine boasts a bed size of 1430 x 2450mm. With both router and a 45watt blue laser head its ideal for machining a range of materials. We also carry a smaller 600 x 375mm 50watt CO2 laser. 

  • General fabrication

As is the standard with all prop modellers, we come with a mountain of assorted tools, general materials experience and a "we'll make it work" attitude!

With the exception or our main CNC/Laser machine and our biggest 3D printer, all other equipment is mobile for use on location. A full list of our equipment and required dependencies is available on request.
